LOOBKOOK SPRING – SUMMER 2017 « LOST IN 2017 »
Veja presents its new collection shoot at the “Centre National de la Danse” in the Parisian suburb.
The impressive architecture of the CND and the fusion between both of the duo, highlights the singularity of this lookbook.
Mixing brutalist architecture and cool sustainable brands, we gather a crew to express the concern of the new generation for the year to come.
A melting pot of beauty, sadness and hope for the year to come.
This season, Veja introduces his new model “WATA” (which means cotton in Japanese) a casual, timeless and unisex sneakers. Mainly Vegan, the WATA is made out of organic cotton and wild rubber from the Amazonian forest.
The Spring-Summer 2017 includes new innovative fabrics. Among them, the J-Mesh : which is made out of 50% of organic cotton, 29% of Jute and 21% plastic bottles (which corresponds to 10 bottles of 1 L). The vegan leather use for some of our models comes from Germany. Finally, season after season, the Bottle Mesh is still present : the b-mesh is an intelligent fabric, both waterproof and breathable from recycled plastic bottles. For information, the fabrication of one sneaker requires 15 bottles of recycled plastic.
The sneakers from the Spring-Summer 2017 collection are lined with cotton (from the organic agriculture). Except our premium collection “Bastille” which has a leather low-chrome-lining that provides a better comfort. Some of our models have a new sole which is more thick and light for an improvement of the fitting.
